Marcelo Calbucci

Publisher, Seattle 2.0 & Owner, TweepML

Marcelo is the publisher of Seattle 2.0, a Seattle media company focused on content and events for tech entrepreneurs and startups, and the owner of TweepML, a service for Twitter users to easily follow many people at once. Marcelo was the founder of Sampa, an easy website creation tool for families, which he founded in 2005 and was the CTO until mid-2009, when Sampa closed its doors. Marcelo has shared every bit of information about Sampa history and failure on his blog – http://blog.calbucci.com, including writing a guest post on TechCrunch about part of the story. Before Sampa, Microsoft worked on Microsoft for 7 years, his most recent position being Development Manager at MSN Search (now Bing.com). Marcelo has a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and he has started writing software at the age of 12.
