SociAOL Thing
By Andrew Hyde • Aug 17th, 2008 • Category: 2007 Teams, Community, Lead StoryLast week it was confirmed that SocialThing!, a 2007 TechStars team was acquired by AOL.
The Inquisitr has an interesting post on why it is great to be purchased by AOL.
TechCrunch was on the story first with many other fine news outlets piling on details.
The SocialThing! team is staying in Boulder, setting up a more permanent office and working on the product just like they have done for the last two years.
But what was the team like when they first got to TechStars (besides having me pay for their coffee)?
I had my camera on hand for the first night last year, and the first pitch at TechStars by (then) DigitalSoap.
Notice how much it has and has not changed, and how vauge the pitch is at times (pull it in and push it out).
