FiltrBox in Inc
By Andrew Hyde • Jun 26th, 2008 • Category: 2007 Teams, CommunityAri Newman and Tom Chikoore are the founders of FiltrBox, which is the favorite web app I currently use.
Yesterday I saw a great piece in Inc about their fine company (and some competition).
Founded in 2007, Filtrbox targets professionals who want to keep tabs on specific search terms, like a competitor’s name.
The title surprised me, “Horse Race: Searching for the Next Digg.” I don’t view FiltrBox as much of a social app, as I see Digg as 100% social app, but that is just how I use it. I see ways it can expand, but for me the persistent search they have built is the best quality tool for tracking brands (and egos) across the web.
True Ventures, a funder, also notes their short take on it.
