Welcome to the TechStars blog!

We’re less than a month away now from our marketing launch, and things are getting exciting.

Over the course of the last four months, we have commitments from more than 30 incredible mentors who will assist our new companies this coming summer. We have secured capital to fund up to ten new companies. We shot a fun video to help people understand TechStars. We also have four amazing sponsors who are really helping to make TechStars a success (ViaWest, CTEK, Metzger Associates, and Cooley Godward Kronish.)

I’m writing this during Colorado’s blizzard of 2006, as about 18 inches of snow has fallen outside my window.

It’s hard to believe that the application deadline for TechStars is about 100 days away, and the program begins in less then six months.

The plan for this blog is to allow everyone involved with TechStars to be able to blog about their experiences. This will include the founders of the companies, the mentors, sponsors, etc.
